Big Game Hunting

The Heart Six Guest Ranch hunting program is designed to offer a variety of hunts for a number of species. Hunting is conducted by fair chase only, as outlined by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. We adhere to the rules and policies of Game and Fish, Grand Teton National Park, U.S. Forest Service and the Wyoming Outfitters Board. Our goal is for a safe, enjoyable, productive hunt that you remember for years to come.
Elk:
We hunt elk in areas 60, 70, 71, 75 & 79. We have two camps located in the heart of the Teton Wilderness. This is a remote hunting expedition in some of the best elk country in the United States. Our Yellowstone camp is 35 miles in by horseback and is one of the most remote hunting camps in the lower 48 states. Our Soda Fork camp is 17 miles in by horseback. This area is also an excellent producer with many large bulls being harvested. Combination deer and elk hunts are available, but elk is our primary goal.

The area 75 & 79 hunts take place in Grand Teton National Park. These hunts can coincide with the elk migration from Yellowstone National Park. Hunts are conducted from our ranch where hunters can enjoy the comfort of our log cabins and sleep in a warm bed at the end of a long day.

Moose:
We hunt moose in areas 7, 8, 17, and 32. Area 's 7 & 8 hunts are from our wilderness camps. Areas 17 and 32 can be hunted from the ranch. There is a good population of trophy bulls in each of these units. This hunt can be combined with the elk hunt.

Mule Deer:
We hunt mule deer in regions E and F. Area E coincides with our Soda Fork camp hunts and lodge hunts. Area F coincides with our Yellowstone camp. This hunt can be combined with an elk hunt.

Big Horn Sheep:
We hunt unit 4 which encompasses a large area in some of Wyoming's best Big Horn Sheep country. This hunt is on a one guide to one hunter basis only and takes you to a very remote area. This type of hunt is extremely rigorous and requires hunters who are in good physical condition.

Black Bear:
We hunt black bear areas 22 and 26, both are excellent bear producing areas. Spring bear season runs May 1 through June 15; fall bear season runs September 20 through October 31, or until mortality quotas are filled for each season.
